Adult + Child co-learning
The adult guides questions and models gestures; the child responds and practices. Sessions are short (8–12 minutes).
Core skills
Sequencing, cause–effect, and identifying the start and end of a routine. Use simple arrows and numbers.
Materials
Printable image cards, arrows, and a one-page observation checklist. Household objects can substitute when printing isn’t available.

Prompts to use
“What do we do first?” · “Then what?” · “Show me with your hands.” · “Where does it start?”
Observe & note
Check if the child can identify the first step, maintain left-to-right order, and explain a sequence in 2–3 sentences.
No-print option
Use household objects (spoon, cup, towel) to mimic the sequence if printing isn’t possible.
